The Ohio Secret Service
This letter was sent by W.H. Triplit, Chief of the Ohio Secret Service, a private detective agency that was organized in 1883 in Canton, Ohio. The letter was sent to one Fred Stingler, Esquire, of Marion, Ohio.
The Chief said,
“I learn by the papers that an attempt was made to rob you. If you desire the matter investigated I am prepared to give work and terms satisfactory. I can furnish good references and would be pleased to hear from you.” |
