Expo Detective Watch Camera

This is a watch-style detective camera, circa 1905 in the U.S. and 1904 in Britain. It was patented by Houghton’s and sold as the Tika. The cameras sold for $2.50 new, and now are valued from $250-$500 or $1,200-$1,800, depending on the model. The lens is an achromatic type. The early model took 12 exposures. The picture is taken using the winding stem. The knob serves as the lens cap.
